Alysa and Anthony met at their first jobs! First they were somewhat of friends, then one night went out with their co workers. Alysa was no longer an employee there but the group was really friendly still. That night, something changed between us. They both noticed it and just started to get flirty with each other. Alysa made her move by kissing Anthony's cheek while a group photo was being taken. Later that night Anthony began experience pains in his chest he never felt before. When he woke up the next morning, he found out his Nonna had passed. A few days later, the day of her funeral, Anthony asked Alysa on a date. He figured if Alysa said no, the day was already a bad one. Alysa said yes and here they are! As time went on they found out they were kind of chasing each other throughout their lives. One day, Anthony shared with Alysa that he feels now that the pain he felt that night out was sympathy pains, and when Nonna was leaving his life, she was bringing Alysa into it.

How We met
For Alysa's birthday during COVID, Anthony booked an AirB&B in a cute little house in PA. Anthony told her they would make one night of their getaway a date night where they would get all fancy and he would cook her dinner because she really wanted to buy a fancy dress for her birthday!
That night, Anthony cooked the pasta, they drank wine, danced in between and then went upstairs to eat.
He made a comment that he needed a spoon for the cheese and she brushed it off thinking they could just use their hands! He insisted, so he went down to grab a spoon. Side note: spoons are their thing! When they started dating, he stole an adorable coffee spoon and surprised her with it at the end of the night, and it just became a thing for them. They go places and he steals her spoons and surprises her with it at the end of the night!

He came back up and he started to sprinkle the cheese on her pasta (something he had been doing for a few months), and she say WAIT let me Boomerang this, because the view was just SOO pretty and she loves pasta. She Boomeranged twice and he kept adding cheese, but Alysa was NOT seeing what was written on the spoon!!
He had to sprinkle cheese about 4 times before she saw “Alysa, will you marry me?” on the spoon!!
She was SO shocked and the rest of the evening was full of happy tears and mushiness. She said, "it was my perfect proposal and I cannot believe how much thought he put into it. The spoon, the view, the pasta!! It was so us. Then when we got home the next day our friends and family surprised me at our apartment with a little party – just a perfect weekend!”
